ZumoDrive update - faster & more stable, new features
by ZumoDrive
We've just released a new version of ZumoDrive (v0.972). Your client should automatically update when you restart your computer next time. If it doesn't, you can download it here. This update contains a bunch of performance and stability related fixes. It also includes several new features, which I'll write about briefly here.
Cache everything
This essentially turns ZumoDrive into a full sync client, downloading a copy of your content in the cloud into the cache to ensure they are always accessible even when you are offline. However, you'll need enough disk space on your hard disk for this to work. I have too much content for this to work personally :) Note, this is only if you want to keep content local. You'll still be able to get to the most up to date version of your files without needing this option.
Folder level sync
On a related note, you now have better control of ZumoDrive's content caching at the folder level. You can now have better control of ZumoDrive's content caching at a folder level. Just right click on the folder, and set the appropriate sync policy. Automatic means we'll fetch content when it's accessed and keep it local automatically. If you select Always keep local, ZumoDrive will download a copy of the content in the folder into the cache.
Update notifications
Got a folder that multiple people are adding files into? This nifty feature will let you know if any content is added or updated on your ZumoDrive. On Windows, a bubble will pop up from the ZumoDrive system tray icon.
Context menu on Snow Leopard
For those of you that are running Snow Leopard, we've finally put the context menu back. It took us a bit longer than expected after Apple has disabled context menu support in Snow Leopard.
I hope all of you enjoy this release.
